7.4 Bound with special binding

When the binding section of the book has a special design and the surface of the

original is more than 50 mm (2 inch) above the book table as shown in the figure,

press the center of the book table so that the binding section is lowered to the

extent that the Auto Focus function is effective.

50 mm (2 inches)

Push the center of the book table with your hands (see figure). The depth can be

adjusted to two levels.

Push down either side of the table and to return the center of the book table to its

normal position.

The table position will be locked once scan is started, then it will be released soon

after scanning is completed.

CAUTION

Use care to prevent your fingers, etc., from being pinched by moving parts while adjusting the

book table.
