Field Description

Database The Livelink ECM database name.

Livelink

Server

The Livelink EMC Enterprise Server name. The server must either be on the same local area

network (LAN) as the Services Manager or must be connected to the Services Manager by a

Virtual Public Network (VPN).

Port The port used by the Livelink server. The default is 2099.

Username

and

Password

When you create libraries in Livelink ECM, you set up credentials for users who have access to

the information stored in each library. The user name and password that you enter here must

provide access to the library referenced by this destination. The user name and password are

also used to access the list of names used for the type ahead function at the device.

If you change this information on the Livelink server, you must also change it for this

connector profile.

Display only

Required

attributes

Limits the attributes displayed at the device to those designated as Required in the Livelink

ECM database.

Username

Type Ahead

There are three options for this function:

■ Enabled: The user at the device can enter a few letters. The connector searches the Livelink

ECM database and the corresponding names appear in a list.

■ Disabled: The function is not available at the device.

■ Remember: Each time a user enters a new name the connector stores it in a cache. When

the user enters the first letters of a name, the connector searches the cache and not the

Livelink server. This is helpful if searches of the Livelink ECM Enterprise Server are slow.
