Preparation for Use
When “Plain” or “Fine” is applied to the tray as paper type, the default value of [Humidifier
Setting] is [ON]. In case of “Specified Color” or “Coated”, it is [OFF]. If the paper type is
changed, these values will be applied but you can change it. However, in case of “Speci-
fied Color” or “Coated” of 135 g/m
2
or less, it becomes unavailable and you cannot
change it.
The Curl Adjustment can also be made in Paper Setting provided for the Utility Menu
screen. As the Paper Setting on the Utility Menu screen does not specify a tray, the Curl
Adjustment operates on paper.
Register/Delete Paper Settings as a Paper Profile
In the Paper Setting accessed by pressing [Paper Setting] on the MACHINE screen or COPY
screen, specified paper settings should be assigned to a tray. In the Paper Setting provided for
the Utility Menu screen, you can register the paper settings to be assigned to a tray as a paper
profile, or delete those registered paper settings.
The paper setting data registered as paper profiles can be exported to a USB flash drive and
imported to another machine of the same model.
If the Process Adjustment is desired for each paper, contact your service representative.
For details of the Color Density Control, refer to Section 8 of the User’s Guide - Main
Body.
5. Press [OK].
6. Press [Close].
The MACHINE screen will be restored.
Up to 500 entries are available for the registration of paper settings.
When [Standard] is selected for Paper Size, a desired size should be selected from
multiple standard sizes provided.
Setting operation for the Air Assist is not available.
Chart Adjustment of the Both Sides Adjust is not available.
The functionality to import paper setting data provides two modes: All Import and
Individual Import.
When saving paper setting data from a USB flash drive to a machine as new entries,
the number of entries to be imported is the count of unused entries of the machine.
When overwriting paper setting data of a machine with those of a USB flash drive,
they will be imported to the same paper setting numbers of the data registered on
the machine.
The functionality to export data to a USB flash drive saves the entire paper setting
data of a machine.
